Strategic Partnership between Kazakhstan and the European Union on sustainable raw materials, batteries and hydrogen value chains
The Memorandum of Understanding between the European Union and Kazakhstan on a Strategic Partnerships on Sustainable Raw Materials, Batteries and renewable hydrogen value chains was signed on 7 November 2022. The aim is to bring about closer integration of critical raw materials, batteries and renewable hydrogen value chains, with mutual benefits.
While the MoU sets the vision, defines the areas of cooperation, and provides a political framework for the enhanced cooperation, the Roadmap, that is being finalised by the key stakeholders, represents a concrete set of actions to advance the goals of the Partnership for the upcoming period (2023 – 2024).
During the panel discussion I will shortly present the partnership scope including the outline of the agreed actions from the Roadmap.
