Geological and structural mapping as the basis for forecasting and searching mineral deposits
Modern Methods of Remote Sensing Materials Analysis Application in Geological Targeting
The presentation highlights modern methods of mineralization prediction aimed at prospecting for ore mineralization zones using remote sensing. The key roles are assigned to automated lineament analysis and a set of spectral methods: the analysis of the main components, the spectral angle method and the evaluation of mineralogical indexes. The most representative examples of the methods application for metasomatic minerals localization during prospecting for copper and gold are given. The presented methods have been tested on the territories of Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Peru, and Australia.
