Erlan Esenaliyevich Akbarov, Chairman of the Geology Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was born on April 25, 1975, in the South Kazakhstan region.
He graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnic University named after V.I. Lenin, Taraz State University named after M.Kh. Dulati, and Karaganda Technical University.
His career began in 1998, and over the years, Akbarov held various positions in the field of geology and mining. Among his positions were engineer-geologist, leading geologist, head of the geology and development department, and general director of various companies, including "Amangeldy Gaz", "Caspian Contractors Trust", and "TaldykudukGaz" . In 2018, Akbarov became the deputy head of the State Geological Enterprise "Yuzhkaznedra", and in 2019, he was appointed the head of the same department in the Geology Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology, and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in Almaty. From June 2020 to June 2021 - Deputy Chairman of the Board of  National Geological Exploration Company Kazgeology.
